Do you miss the good ole days, back when?

Don't you miss the perks of being alive many years ago? It seems like culture is falling to pieces, and people have their own theories as to why. I love western culture and what it's brought us. My favorite part of it was what the United States of America used to be. I like the concepts, values, architecture, and problem solving of western culture, but it is burning to the ground. It seems that in the last sixty years or so that things took a major turn for the worst. You can talk about all of the so called technological advancement you want, particularly the information tech, but that doesn't make up for our evident downfall of western society. Speaking of our technology, I really think we could have used it all better than we have or are currently using it as or for. What if there was and is an agenda trying to hold humankind back, or what if it is humankind's flaws that are holding itself back? If anything, I know we can acheive greatness.
