Could I be allergic to weed ?

I started smoking a while ago, I do not do it everyday, but I have been more now. Ive had hives for a while now because they always keep comming back. I thought it was from this tanning lotion I was using but I stopped using it and I just got the hives back again ! could it be from weed? when I smoke it, my throat also kind of sometimes feel like it's actually closing. like I'll be eating food or something and I have to stop because I feel like I'm gonna choke on it because I feel like my throat closes. this used to not happen to me.
