Compensation paid but................?

hi, the 3rd party have paid out and my solictor (minster law) has recieved the cheque today,but i was told that the cheque wont be sent out to be untill maybe the end of the week or possible early next week , can anybody tell why this,i have been messed aroung on this for 5 weeks now and im pretty peeved off that they have my money but wont send it to me.every time i phone them its always next ,i think they ave had the money for a while as for the last 2 weeks ive heard u will recieve this week or early next
