Brother choking on water ?!?

So a couple hours ago me and my brother decided to play a drinking water game to see who'll finish faster, so we went on and did that but he starting choking on it becuase he was laughing.. he automatically ran to the sink and started to try to cough but couldnt so it was a silent cough .. after everything was okay he started breathing hard and complained about how he felt like his lungs wouldn't let him breathe right? should he go check it out with the doctor or is he okay. if any of you has had experience with this !
